Great Woods Symphony Orchestra at Wheaton College

Performance Excerpts

The Great Woods Symphony is committed to the values of community music-making. It is comprised of Wheaton students (undergraduates pursuing a B.A. in music and other disciplines; the college does not offer a performance major); 4 faculty section leaders in the strings; and members of the general public ranging in age from 14 to 80.

Auditions are used for placement purposes, but no one is turned away.  The orchestra rehearses once a week for two hours, and presents one concert per semester.

The links below point toward specific timings in each concert. Please listen to approximately the amount of time indicated.
